Refund Policy

This Refund Policy outlines the terms governing refunds for CGC+ subscription plans operated by Christ's Gospel Churches, Int'l., Inc. ("CGC," "we," "us," or "our"). We strive to be fair and transparent in all billing matters.
1. Free Plan
The Free plan is available at no cost. No payment information is required, and no charges are incurred. As no payment is collected, refunds do not apply to the Free plan.
2. Free Trial Period
All paid plans (Basic, Multimedia, and Study) include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. During the trial period:
- You will have full access to the features of your selected plan.
- Your payment method will not be charged during the trial.
- If you cancel before the 7-day trial period ends, you will not be charged and no refund is necessary.
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your payment method will be charged at the applicable rate.
3. Monthly Subscriptions
For monthly subscription plans:
- No partial-month refunds: We do not provide refunds for unused portions of a monthly billing period. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will continue to have access to your paid features until the end of that billing period.
- Access until period ends: After cancellation, your subscription remains active through the end of the current billing cycle. You will not be charged again.
- Automatic downgrade: Once your billing period ends, your account will automatically revert to the Free plan with its corresponding features.
4. Annual Subscriptions
For annual subscription plans:
- Within the first 30 days: If you cancel your annual subscription within 30 days of the initial purchase or renewal date, you are eligible for a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of your subscription.
- After 30 days: No refunds are available for annual subscriptions cancelled more than 30 days after the purchase or renewal date. You will continue to have access to your paid features until the end of your annual billing period.
- Automatic downgrade: Once your annual billing period ends, your account will automatically revert to the Free plan.
5. Family Plans
Family plans for the Multimedia and Study tiers follow the same refund policies outlined above for monthly and annual subscriptions. Additional details:
- The account holder (plan manager) is responsible for all billing and refund requests related to the Family plan.
- If the Family plan is cancelled, all family members linked to the plan will lose access to paid features at the end of the billing period.
- Removing an individual family member from a plan does not entitle the account holder to a partial refund.
6. How to Cancel Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time using the following method:
From the CGC App
- Open the CGC app on your device.
- Navigate to Account Settings.
- Select Subscription.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the on-screen prompts.
You will receive a confirmation email once your cancellation is processed. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please email us at appdev@christgospel.org with the following information:
- Your full name and the email address associated with your account.
- Your subscription plan and billing cycle (monthly or annual).
- The reason for your refund request.
- The approximate date of the charge you would like refunded.
We will review your request and respond within 3 business days.
8. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and typically take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution. Please note:
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.
- Processing times may vary depending on your bank or credit card provider.
- If you have not received your refund within 10 business days after approval, please contact your financial institution first, then reach out to us if the issue persists.
9. Exceptions and Special Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. In the following cases, we may consider refund requests outside the standard policy at our discretion:
- Duplicate charges: If you were charged more than once for the same billing period, we will refund the duplicate charge promptly.
- Service outages: If a significant, extended service outage prevented you from using the Service, we may issue a credit or pro-rated refund.
- Unauthorized charges: If you believe your account was charged without your authorization, contact us immediately so we can investigate.
All exception requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
